A key aspect of their work is the limited, distorted perception of the environment. The perceived reality is already prefiltered by selectively working sensory cells. Information is only partially transmitted or not recorded at all. This already manipulated information is processed in the viewer’s brain together with previous experiences, instincts, and drives to form images. Desired images emerge, an imagination of a reality that does not exist in this way. A person’s consciousness is thus shaped by an illusory image of their environment. The constant interaction between imagination and reality inevitably leads to repeated disappointments. This can result in mental imbalance and psychosomatic reactions, which are particularly manifested in human skin. These works depict changes in human skin. In particular, the decay process of dying skin is experimentally transformed into an aesthetic form. The artist consciously chooses living, organic materials that undergo the same processes of decay in laboratory-like conditions as well as in nature.

Breaks through even the Immutable

A scent that can no longer be perceived. A dream that is only remembered vaguely. Fingers that can no longer feel. Between languages and forms. Dissolving into thin air.

Breaks through even the Immutable

A boundary between being and non-being. It’s occurring. It’s shifting forms. As if an unseen and unknown essence is carried within things and nature. It neither comprehends the visual nor the imaginary. It’s a remnant between the concrete and the abstract

Lasting inside

In nature, everything is in a state of flux and liberation—liberation from memory and liberation from permanence. To render things permanent in the present moment is impossible; the ‘frozen’ object exists, yet the viewer discovers and moves past it only in the fleeting moment of perceiving and experiencing the object. An object whose liberation has been suppressed remains there, but the viewer, too, eventually turns away from it. This discovery and engagement with the object by the viewer, in these moments, is a historical blossoming that imparts different information to each individual. It is neither complete nor incomplete.

Limited Object

Nature secretly carries within itself a core called decay. It makes no claim to permanence and is constantly changing. Ultimately, it is nature that breaks these discontinuous boundaries and creates new forms from them—forms that are honest.

Glass - Bio-material - 2021

In this work, my primary intention is to show the vulnerability of the organic object. In a way, it’s something of nature’s essence combined with glass material as the work’s colorless skeleton. The organic material will tear or degrade over a long period. The reason for the creation of these objects is a critique of the artwork’s permanence. For me, the impermanent work acts as an element of nature that formally combines with nature, and this combination recreates something that is no longer in my control.
